ABOUT ME
"Kate is a very talented singer, and super fun!"
"We love having her perform for our guests! They truly elevate the experience."
Kate Foley’s music career began in the early 70s in Northeast Ohio, singing rock and country. Marriage brought her to Chicago in the mid-’90s, where she became immersed
in vocal jazz.
Her smoky voice, natural musicality, and dedication have made her a much-in-demand performer in the Chicago jazz scene. She has studied with Janice Borla, Director of Vocal Jazz with the Jazz Studies Program at North Central College (Naperville, IL), bassist Nick
Schneider and the legendary vocalist Frank D’Rone.
While honing the technical skills
required for her craft, Kate never forgets that the primary purpose of an entertainer is to
entertain. Audiences relate to her inviting warmth as they are drawn into herperformances.
Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker mostly retired from private practice and avidly
pursued her other great passion, golf. She splits her time between Chicago and Augusta,
GA.
